The road is rough and rocky
The days pass quickly by
Though trials may befall me
I dare not ask thee why

My eyes stay tightly focused
Upon the Great I Am
I know You'll be beside me
And guide me as a lamb

At times I'm weak and trembling
I fall beneath the load
You take my hand so gently
And in Your arms enfold

No snares shall e'er befall me
Nor thief shall steal away
The promises You gave me
Sustain me day by day

Your love fills me with hope, Lord
I sense your presence sweet
I rest now in your bosom
And know your perfect peace
