I saw the
darkest side of life,
With all its pain and sorrow.
Bowed beneath the heavy load,
My soul ached for the morrow.
Tossed about
from wind and sea,
Turmoil gripped my sinful soul.
I longed for just one day of peace,
Freedom from the darkest hole.
Many tears and
sleepless nights,
Held captive in harsh chains,
Controlled by Satan's evil lies,
My life he had obtained.
Then the Master
sought me out;
And touched my weary heart.
A miracle of love and grace,
To me, He did impart.
My soul shall
ever magnify,
The Master of the Sea...
He calmed the waters deep and dark;
And then, He set me free.
