The cutest things I’ve ever seen,

Great big button eyes.

Pound Pups seem to call to me,

“Won’t you give me a try?”

I’d like to give them all a home,

But this I cannot do.

Then the idea came to me,

I’ll give a few to you!

Oh yes, I know they like to chew

On leather shoes, and such;

Sometimes their carefree ways, it seems

Will get them into dutch.

They even have some accidents,

Right there by the door.

But that shows me at least they tried,

To keep it off the floor. :o)

But just remember, if you will.

They won’t stay small for long;

And all those little incidents

Won’t seem so terribly wrong.

They’ll weave a place right in your heart

Leave puppy tracks galore.

And then before you know it,

You’ll be coming back for more!
