Lord, give me a rainbow
After the rain
A day filled with hope
All won’t be in vain.

Lord, give me a rainbow
Painting your earth
With colors of yellow
As autumn gives birth

You never promised
A pot filled with gold
But give me a rainbow
Your Glory to behold.

I yearn for the promise
I received through grace
To someday soon
Gaze upon Your face.

With each day’s passing
I have but one plea
Give others the rainbows
You’ve given to me.

And as we grow older
Rejoicing we’ll sing
You gave us a rainbow
Thanksgiving we bring.

As you look down
From Heaven above
We’ll lift up to thee
A Rainbow of Love.
