"Front Porch Inspirations"

Christmas Complements

Think it strange the Bread of Life
Would be born in the house of bread, *
And the Light of the World be advertised
By a star shining overhead

And the Good and Gentle Shepherd's birth
Heralded through the skies
Be announced to lowly shepherds first
By angels bending nigh

The Gift of God from heaven
Wrapped up in swaddling clothes
Be given gifts from wise men
Of frankincense, myrrh, and gold?

It's certainly by no accident
He was placed in a feeding trough,
Christ our manna from heaven
From the cradle to the cross.
