Cold Winter's Day
Hitch up the buggy
Let's go for a ride
Watch circles of smoke
Rise from cabins inside.
Wrap a blanket around us
We'll sit cozy and warm
While enjoying the outing
This cool, snowy, morn'.
I feel safe and secure
As we ride side by side
Knowing joy and contentment
As I gaze into your eyes.
The clip-clop of horses
Sends the snow in a spray
And it sparkles like diamonds
On this cold winter's day.
We look to the mountains
In awe of the view
And gasp at the beauty
Of such colorful hues.
Heading home we grow silent
No words need we say...
We've been warmed by God's presence
On this cold winter's day.
